DIY Lip Plumper
I will be using this tuturial by Sofia Styled because I have very thin lips myself and I am desperate to get fuller, lushious lips with out paying too much money for it. I am also against surgical lip fillers for myself because I do not know what exactly is in that stuff.
I will be posting some before and after picture in the up coming days so you guys can check back to see if this really does work! :)
With NO gloss or lipstick. Just the chapstick
Top = Normal lips
Middle=after 30 minutes, a definate increase in top lip and more colour
Bottom-after 1 hour. Top lop was much much fuller.
After an hour it started going back to normal so I would suggest re-applying it once and hour. Maybe if you seal it in by putting lipstick and lipgloss over it, it might stay puffy for a bit longer, but I will be testing that out when I am not ill with a cold. (I don't wear make up when I am sick)
Wardrobe Essentials for stylish ladies
No matter you weight, height or age, any stylish woman over 30 needs these classic items in their wardrobe to throw together a stylish outfit in minutes. If you have these items you can never complain that you have nothing to wear, and we all have said that at least 3 times this week alone! :-)
Here are a few of my favorite items. They are unmissable in my own wardrobe and I swear by them.
(List of where to buy at the bottom)
The Little Black Dress
No buts, you have to have at least two of these. Last minute party or date, you must have a this trusty go-to in your closet.
The Cardigan
Get these in all your favorite colours and a black and beige one is simply unmissble. A longer style to the hips flatters most figures.
A Classica Blazer
These don't have to be boring, oh no! You can get them in all kinds of colours, not just black and navy. Personally I do not like white because it looks like you are a dentist assistant, but any colour would do. You can add a flower or pin to give it a bit of flair and show your personality. Go for a good, tailerd fit that will give you a nice waiste line.
Scarf
Whether you are wearing a white blouse or a black tank top, a scarf can make outfit specials. A pop of colour or a chic gold scarf can turn your outfit from casual to posh in seconds.
The Tunic
I love these because you can cover your hips and butt and still look stylish. Definately one of my essentials! You can wear them with jeans or leggings (just make sure they are long enough because LEGGINGS ARE NOT PANTS) or you can wear them as a dress if you have nice legs. Also a very usefull garment for throwing over a swimsuit or bikini.
Denim Skirt
You can dress it up, you can dress it down. Long or short or micro mini, definately something you need in your wardrobe.

Wedge heels

I have flat feet and can't wear normal heels for long periods of times so I had to improvise. Also if you have a job where you have to walk or stand a lot, these are PERFECT for you. They offer support unlike normal heels. They give you the hight like normal heels but won't tire you out as quikly. They look very stylish and cute and you can combine them with jeans, dresses or skirts.

The Body (Leotard)

These tops are fantastic for the absolutely horrible fashion that is the *Skinny/low cut jeans* (shudders) So you don't want your butt crack hanging out when you bend over, these are PERFECT for you. You get loads of different styles, v-necks, rounds necks and polo necks. Long sleeves, tank tops and T-shirt sleeves... They are easy and you can pull a shirt over them, a sweater or a fancy see through, Chiffon blouse.

What can I say? Quik, easy and practical! These little tops are small enough to fit in your bag so when it cools down in the summer you can just pull them on over a tank top or T-shirt. The are casual but you get so many varaities. Silk or lace ones for formal wear, black sparkly ones for evening wear, jacket type ones for the office. Really, you can't live without these. You really can't. :-)

How to survive a summer cold in style...
Here I am, sniffing and sneezing with a soar throat to write home about and it's suppose to be lovely beach weather tomorrow! :-(
A summer cold...How I dread thee.
Sound impossible? It's not -- just ask a celebrity makeup artist.
A summer cold...How I dread thee.
How to look good when you have a cold or flu.
Your nose is red and runny; your eyes are puffy and so bloodshot they look like modern art. On top of everything else, a cold sore is threatening to blossom on your upper lip. There's no denying it, you've got a whopper of a cold -- or maybe even the flu.
But you've also got a commitment you just can't break. Whether it's an important work project, that PTA dinner you're hosting, or the birthday party for your best friend, you’ve got to show up and you've got to look good -- no matter how bad your cold and flu symptoms are. Sound impossible? It's not -- just ask a celebrity makeup artist.
"Even my celebrity clients can't always choose the most convenient time to have a cold,” says makeup artist Michael Maron, founder of Redpoint High Performance Cosmetics. "Most have no choice but to 'face' the public and the paparazzi, as well as their commitments to perform, show up for interviews, or even walk the red carpet regardless of how they feel. And they still manage to look great," says Maron.
And you can do it, too. All it takes, says Maron, are a few home remedies, a little common sense, and a few cosmetic tricks.
Cold and Flu Symptoms: The Nose Knows
Among the most telltale -- and unattractive -- cold symptoms is a red, runny nose, often made worse by constant blowing and wiping.
That's why experts say the No. 1 beauty tip when you have a cold: invest in a box of lotion-treated tissues.
"If you have a constantly runny nose that has chapped already, [tissues] with aloe vera can keep the area from becoming more red and sore," says Joel Schlessinger, MD, president of the American Society of Cosmetic Dermatology and Aesthetic Surgery. Both Kleenex and Puffs brands have lotion-treated tissues.
Two things you should never use to wipe your nose: napkins and paper towels. "Anything rough on the nose will delay healing by at least a day or two," says Schlessinger, who is also the director of LovelySkin.com.
If your nose is already red, Schlessinger suggests using a 1% hydrocortisone cream to soothe and heal it.
Until your nose returns to its natural shade, Maron recommends hiding redness with a highly pigmented concealer.
"Apply it more deftly than you're used to, and choose a yellow-based cover-up, which works best to counter redness in the skin," he says.
Cold and Flu Symptoms: The Eyes Have It!
While your eyes may be the windows to your soul, they can also be a dead giveaway that you've got a cold. Puffy, watery, red eyes are often the result of a cold, and they can look even worse if you've also been up all night with a hacking cough.
The solution: Take a teabag nap!
You can also wear big sun glasses to cover up and hide behind. Don't wear make up or mascara because when you sneeze you will only smeer it all over your face.

The Pin Up look
I absolutely love the look and want to try it out mysely but had no idea where to begin. So I made a list of essential items for a 1950's pin up girl look that you can wear daily!
*First off all, everyone needs a pair of high waisted shorts. Get them in all different colours and you are ready for summer!! So cute!
*Dark blue jeans, Skinny, high waisted if it flatters you. You can dress them up or dress them down.
*Stripped R-shirts or tank tops. Black and white, red and White or Navy Blue and white ones are the way to go! Bra straps are a no no so strapless or plastic straps. Tuck them in your shorts.
*A vintage dress. Think 1950's house wife. You can wear a petti coat under it to give it more of a pin up feel. Ebay is a good place to find vintage dresses. Anything full circle is good too.
*You will need a red Bandana that you can either wear in your hair or around your neck in a cute little cow girl style. It's very stylish and you can wear them for photoshoots or just around the house to get your hair out of your face.
*Hair flowers! These are an essential for any wannabe Pin Up girl. Red ones are very popular but any colour will do, black, white, yellows...You can wear them with a up do or with your hair long and loose. The more tropical, the better.
*A cardigan with buttons down the front. Make sure its short, and doesnt come down over your waist. A V-neck style is best for the vintage, pin up girl look.
*A polka dot Blouse. You can tie the blouse in a knot at your waiste if you want.
*A pencil skirt! The fit is tight around the hips, showing off your gorgeous curves. In the 50's skinny girls were OUT and curvy girls were IN and hot, hot hot! Try and army green or black skirt.
*Pantyhose with a seam running up the back, very very sexy and elegant.
*A pair of wedge high heels in RED. Peep toe ones are very sexy. Although wedge heels are easier to walk in.
Don't be scared to play around with this look, ladies. It's a very good style for all sizes because a true pin up can be any size or shape. Don't be shy, try it ou, especially in summer
